Myth 2

Hermes was the God of messengers and he also would take people to the underworld once they died. To portray this I took a picture of a peacock because their feather's look like many eyes watching over things. Hermes had to watch and wait for messages and people just like a thousand eyes watching the world.

Myth

My myth was Alcyone and Ceyx. Alcyone's father Aeolus is the God of winds, and Ceyx went out on a voyage to talk to an Oracle about his dead brother. Alycone knew that her father didn't like Ceyx and that he was going to try to kill Ceyx while he was out at sea. Alcyone couldn't convince him to stay, so she waited and waited for him to return. He never did. So, to represent this story I took a picture of a small waterfall with a girl looking out over the bridge in the reflection to represent Alcyone waiting for Ceyx.

Gavin

I did the fog and mist Gavin technique. All I had to do was change the opacity and paint the water with a white paintbrush. Then I got a picture of clouds and changed it to black and white and turned to opacity to about 40, to make the effect of fog.
